पुर्तगाल के महान फुटबॉलर Cristiano Ronaldo का जन्म 5 Ferbury 1985 को Portugal के Funchal, Madeira में एक बहुत ही गरीब परिवार में हुआ था इनका पूरा नाम Cristiano Ronaldo Dos, Santos Aveiro है। इनके माता का नाम Maria Dolores Dos Santos Aveiro और पिता का नाम Jose Dinis Aveiro है, Ronaldo अपने चार भाई बहनो में सबसे छोटे है।
इनके पिता अमेरिका के एक्टर और पूर्व राष्ट्रपति रहे Ronald Reagan के बहुत बड़े फैन थे इस वजह से जब Cristiano का जन्म हुआ तब उन्होंने उनका नाम Ronaldo रख दिया।

Cristiano Ronaldo का बचपन बहुत ही गरीबी में गुजरा इनके पिता नगर पालिका में माली का काम करते थे और इनकी माँ लोगो के घरो में जाकर खाना बनाने और साफ सफाई का काम करती थी इनका घर भी काफी छोटा था जिस वजह से Ronaldo को सभी भाई बहनो के साथ एक ही रूम में सोना पड़ता था।
